Drawpie (“we”, “this site”) is a content website at drawpie.com. We don’t require accounts, and the only personal data we receive is what you choose to send us through the contact form or the newsletter box. We do use analytics that set cookies, and we show advertising that sets cookies. This page explains what is processed when you visit, and the choices you have.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings . Alternatively, you can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices .

Analytics

We use two analytics tools, and only one of them is cookieless.

Plausible Analytics sets no cookies at all. It collects aggregate usage data — page views, referrers, country, device class — and does not track individuals across websites.

Google Analytics 4 does set cookies. It runs on the live site under the measurement ID G-JMQGJ5BFWH and writes two first-party cookies in your browser for drawpie.com, named _ga and _ga_JMQGJ5BFWH. They hold a randomly generated identifier that lets Google Analytics recognise a returning browser and work out session counts. Google receives your IP address, the pages you view, and general device and location information derived from it. You can prevent this entirely with Google’s own Analytics opt-out browser add-on , or by blocking the cookies in your browser settings.

Newsletter (Substack)

The subscribe box at the end of each article is an embedded frame served by Substack , which runs our newsletter. Because it is loaded from substack.com, Substack can set its own cookies and receives your IP address and the address of the page you are reading — this happens when the frame loads, whether or not you subscribe. If you do enter your email address, it goes directly to Substack and is held there under Substack’s privacy policy; we see it only as a subscriber on our own publication, and we never sell or share it. Every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe from your Substack account at any time.

Contact form

If you send a message through the contact page, the details you submit — your email address and your message — are processed by Netlify Forms and used solely to reply to you. We never sell or share this data. To have your submissions deleted, ask us via the contact page .

Hosting, server logs, and fonts

This site is hosted on Netlify, which keeps standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, user agent) for security and operations. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which uses two hosts — fonts.googleapis.com for the stylesheet and fonts.gstatic.com for the font files themselves. Both receive your IP address when your browser fetches them.
