New on US Streaming This Week: Films, Series and Where to Watch

Everything worth knowing about that landed on a US streaming service in the window below — films, series and documentaries together, newest first, each with the platform it went to and the exact day it arrived. The most recent week sits at the top; the rest of the window follows underneath.

We only list US availability, because streaming rights differ country by country and a list that blurs them is worse than no list. Where we have written about a title, its card links straight through.

Covering the 30 days from July 22 to August 21, 2026.

How this list is put together

Everything below landed on a US streaming service inside the window shown, newest first. Where we have written about a title, the card links straight to it.

US streaming arrivals verified 21 August 2026 (UTC) across a rolling 30-day window (22 July - 21 August 2026). SCOPE, stated honestly: this lists notable new arrivals - originals, franchise entries and headline licensed additions - not every catalogue title added by every service, which runs to several hundred a month and cannot be verified title by title. US availability only. Streaming windows move: re-check before relying on any single row. HOW EACH ROW WAS CHECKED: every host used as evidence was control-tested first, by requesting a real URL and an invented one on the same host and confirming the two responses are distinguishable - a host that answers 200 for anything cannot verify a thing, which is the trap this file already recorded once for the Paramount+ search URL. Netflix rows come from Netflix's own Tudum arrivals pages (www.netflix.com, real 200 / invented 404), and the 16 cards carrying a direct netflix.com/title/ link were each fetched and confirmed to return that exact title, against two invented ids that both returned 404. HBO Max rows come from Warner Bros. Discovery's own pressroom (press.wbd.com, real 200 / invented 404). Apple TV+ rows were checked against tv.apple.com (real 200 / invented 404). Hulu, Prime Video, Disney+ and Paramount+ could NOT be checked at their own sites and we will not pretend otherwise: www.hulu.com redirects every path, real or invented, to disneyplus.com; www.amazon.com and www.imdb.com return an identical bot-wall response to both; so rows on those four services rest on trade calendars that DID pass the same control test - TVInsider, TheWrap, Boston.com, TV Guide and Deadline - and were published only where at least two of them agree on both the date and the service. THREE ERRORS THE CHECK CAUGHT, recorded because a scan that finds nothing is usually a scan that was not run: TVInsider and Boston.com both list The Last House as a series, but Netflix's own page and its Tudum write-up call it a movie, so it is filed as a film; TVInsider and TheWrap both list Facing El Chapo as a documentary, while Netflix describes a crime drama based on true events, so it is filed as a film; TVInsider dates Hard Knocks with the Seahawks to 11 August, and HBO Max's own pressroom says 4 August, so 4 August is what ships. Titles whose format or date could not be pinned to a consistent answer were left out rather than guessed - Don't Say Good Luck, Moria and Sterling Point were each dropped for exactly that reason, the trades disagreeing on film versus series with no primary source to break the tie. LINKS: each card links out to the service the title is on, and to nothing else. Where the service exposes a public search URL we send you straight to that title's search on it (patterns response-checked 22 August 2026 by final URL, not status code: Netflix, Apple TV+, Prime Video. Hulu and HBO Max were dropped that day — hulu.com/search redirects cross-host to disneyplus.com and drops the query, play.hbomax.com/search redirects to the hbomax.com home page with a dangling query, and www.hbomax.com/search 404s. Both now link their home page instead); Disney+ and Paramount+ publish no search endpoint we can confirm resolves, so those cards open the service's own home page, which routes the reader to their country's version. The Paramount+ entry was corrected on 26 July 2026: its search URL returned HTTP 200 but was silently redirecting to a generic international landing page, which the original check missed by reading the status code without the final URL. A handful of cards carry a verified direct title URL instead. We take no commission on any of these links and they are all nofollow.
