Challah is sold by weight, and the question at ordering time is always the same: how much is enough? This uses Grand Bakery's own published guidance — one pound for every ten people when the challah is part of a meal, one pound for every twenty when it is only for the blessing — and prices it against the bakery's real size ladder.

Grand Bakery's ladder above starts at 3 lb — enough for 30 people. It is a ceremonial loaf, not a household one. These are the ordinary round and spiral challahs, and none of the three is kosher-certified:
