WoW Forever: Where to Pre-Order, and What Each Edition Actually Gets You
- World of Warcraft: Forever launches 4 November 2026 at 3:00pm PST. The beta runs 17 September through 21 October.
- 🔴 The $29.99 Skyborne Heroic Pack does not include beta access. Only the $59.99 Skyborne Epic Pack and the $79.99 Warcraft Forever Collection do.
- 🔴 Neither does the $150 Collector’s Edition. Its digital code ships inside the box, and Blizzard’s own page says the box is ’not available to ship until November 2026’ — after the beta has closed.
- Blizzard tells you the workaround itself: buy the digital edition now, and ‘some’ purchases are credited back as Battle.net Balance when you later redeem the Collector’s Edition code. It hedges that with ’not all products and upgrade paths qualify’.
- The Collector’s Edition is all sales final, limit three per household, excluded from promo codes, and the US store ships only to North and South America.
- Europe has its own Collector’s Edition at €150 in English, French and German variants. We could not see UK pricing in pounds and say so rather than converting.
- A subscription or game time is still required on top of any edition. The Epic Pack and the Collection include 30 days, added at launch.
World of Warcraft: Forever launches on 4 November. Its beta opens on 17 September — and the most expensive way to pre-order will not get you into it.
There are four things you can buy and they do meaningfully different jobs. Here is what each one actually includes.

⚠️ Blizzard publishes beta dates but not a start time, so we are not going to tell you what hour to be online. The launch time is published and converts cleanly: 3:00pm Pacific on 4 November is 11:00pm in both UTC and the UK, because the US has left daylight time by then and Britain has too.
The three digital editions
Read the middle column, not the price.

🔴 The cheapest edition does not include the beta. Blizzard’s own description of the Heroic Pack is four words long — “Includes Skyborne Race” — and beta access appears only from the Epic Pack up. If the beta is why you are buying, $29.99 is not a cheaper way in; it is a different product.
The $20 between Epic and the Collection buys two other games, not more WoW. The Warcraft Forever Collection is the Epic Pack plus Warcraft III: Reforged and the Forsaken Kingdom DLC campaign. Whether that is worth $20 depends entirely on whether you want Warcraft III.
⚠️ A subscription or game time is required on top of any of these. Blizzard is explicit: access to Forever “is included with your active World of Warcraft subscription or game time”. The Epic Pack and the Collection include 30 days, and that game time is “added to your WoW account with the launch of WoW: Forever” — not now.
The $150 box, and the problem with it
The Collector’s Edition is $150 from the Blizzard Gear Store, and it will not get you into the beta.
This is the single thing worth knowing before you spend the money, and it is not a subtlety — it follows from two sentences on Blizzard’s own product page:
“This is a pre-order product and is not available to ship until November 2026.”
“Redeem the Warcraft Forever Collection digital code in the separately provided envelope…”
The code is in the box. The box arrives in November. The beta closes on 21 October.
We searched the entire gear store listing for the word “beta”. It does not appear once.
What you do get for $150

That box is enormous — roughly the footprint of a carry-on suitcase. Worth knowing before it turns up.
⚠️ The décor items have a hidden dependency. Blizzard’s footnote says they “can only be used within Housing in Modern WoW”, and that “Housing feature requires World of Warcraft: Midnight (sold separately)”. If you do not own Midnight, part of what you paid for is inert.
Blizzard’s own workaround
To its credit, Blizzard tells you how to solve this, on the same page:
“If you want to enjoy Warcraft Forever Collection digital items and other benefits before receiving your Collector’s Edition, you can buy the Warcraft Forever Collection or other WoW: Forever digital products on the Battle.net Shop. Some digital product purchases qualify for a Battle.net Balance credit (equal to the amount paid for) when you later redeem your Collector’s Edition code…”
So the route is: buy the digital edition now for the beta, buy the box as well, and get credited back for the digital one later.
🔴 Read the hedging before you rely on it. Blizzard says “some digital product purchases qualify”, that “not all products and upgrade paths qualify”, that the credit arrives automatically for some and “require[s] assistance from Blizzard Customer Support” for others, and that the Collector’s Edition code must be redeemed by 31 December 2027. That is a refund mechanism with four conditions on it, and it is Battle.net Balance rather than money back.
If you are not willing to risk being out $59.99, buy one or the other, not both.
Where to actually buy it

🔴 The US Collector’s Edition ships only to the Americas. Blizzard’s wording: “Orders ship only to select locations in North and South America.” European buyers need the EU store, which carries the same box at €150 in three variants — International English, French and German.
✅ We read both listings, and the terms are the same on each: pre-order, “not available to ship until November 2026”, limit three per household, excluded from promo codes, all sales final. So the beta problem applies in Europe too — a €150 box whose code arrives after the beta has closed. The one line the EU listing does not carry is the Americas-only shipping restriction, which is what you would expect from a European store.
⚠️ We could not see UK pricing in pounds. Our session geolocates outside the UK, so Blizzard’s European shop quoted us euros — €79.99, €59.99 and €29.99, the same numbers as the dollar prices. A UK customer will likely be quoted in sterling and those will not be the same figures. Check the price on the page before you buy; we are not converting on your behalf.
The fine print that costs money
All of this is quoted from the Collector’s Edition listing:
- 🔴 “All sales final: … not eligible for returns.” You are committing $150 to a box that arrives in about seven weeks, with no cancellation.
- “Limit three (3) per household.”
- “excluded from any promotions and not eligible for discounts using a promo code.” There is no code coming.
- The merchant is Legends Global, LLC, not Blizzard — the gear store’s own footer says so. That is who your contract is with.
- The digital code is valid in North America, Latin America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
⚠️ One date on the page is not the launch date. The listing also says Forever “will be available on or before December 31, 2026” — that is a legal backstop for the code, not a hint that 4 November might slip.
So which one
If you want in on 17 September: the Skyborne Epic Pack at $59.99 is the cheapest thing that does it. The Warcraft Forever Collection at $79.99 does it too and adds Warcraft III.
If you want the statue: buy the Collector’s Edition, and accept that you are watching the beta from the outside — or pay twice and try the Battle.net Balance route with its conditions.
If you just want to play at launch: you may not need any of them. Forever is included with an active subscription. The paid editions buy the Skyborne race, the beta, the early start on cosmetics and the Warcraft III bundle — not entry to the expansion.
And $29.99 is the trap. It is the only edition whose name sounds like a discount and whose contents are not a smaller version of the others.

- Whether the expansion is any good. It is not out, and the beta has not opened.
- Whether to wait for a sale. Blizzard has not announced one and we do not forecast prices.
- What your UK price is. See above — we could not see it and will not convert one.
