Where to Watch Dancing with the Stars: Season 35 Channel and Streaming

Dancing with the Stars airs live on ABC, and at the same moment on Disney+. Episodes turn up on Hulu the following day. That has been the arrangement for several seasons and it still holds for season 35 — but the catch-up half of it is quietly moving, because Disney is folding Hulu into Disney+ during this very season. What channel is Dancing with the Stars on?

How can you watch DWTS live without cable?

Two ways, and one of them is free. Disney+ carries the show live in its own right, so a Disney+ subscription alone gets you the broadcast as it happens, with no pay-TV account behind it. The other way is an antenna, covered in its own section below.

The third option is a live-TV streaming bundle that includes ABC — the services that sell you a package of live channels over the internet. Those do carry ABC, but with a caveat worth knowing before you sign up: ABC is a network of local stations, and whether a given bundle carries your local ABC affiliate depends on where you live. Can you stream DWTS the next day?

Yes — on Hulu, as it has been for years. But this is the part of the answer that is changing underneath you, and it is the main reason this page exists.

Disney has spent 2026 merging Hulu into Disney+. Reporting from late 2025 said the standalone Hulu app would be retired device by device through the year, beginning in February on some platforms, with the brand surviving as a section inside Disney+ rather than an app of its own. Disney has since told Variety it has no current plans to phase out the standalone app on primary devices. Those two statements are not quite compatible, and this page is not going to pretend otherwise.

What you can check yourself is narrower and more useful:

• ABC’s own page for Dancing with the Stars does not offer Hulu as a way to watch it. It offers Disney+.

The practical read: next-day streaming still works, but if you open Hulu and it sends you somewhere else, nothing has gone wrong and you have not lost the show. Look for it inside Disney+. If you subscribe to one of the Disney bundles you already have access to both sides of this either way, which is the least stressful position to be in while the apps rearrange themselves.

Is Dancing with the Stars free to watch?

After that the season settles into the Tuesday slot, with episodes on 22 and 29 September and weekly from there. ABC has not announced a finale date, so there is no end point to plan around yet.

Where do you watch the DWTS After Party?

Same places as the show itself — ABC and Disney+, live — and next day on Hulu. It premieres Wednesday 16 September at 10 p.m. ET, straight after the second night of the premiere.

It is a new companion show for this season, hosted by Robert Irwin, who won season 34. The format leans on eliminated contestants, so it functions as the exit interview for whoever has just gone home. If you only ever watch the main episode you are not missing results, but you are missing the reaction to them.

Is Dancing with the Stars on Netflix or Prime Video?

No. There is no Netflix or Prime Video route to the current season in the US, and there is no sign of one.

The show is an ABC production and a Disney property, and the live and catch-up rights sit inside Disney’s own services.
