Where to Buy Mountain Dew Baja Blast in the US and UK

The short answer is that Baja Blast is no longer hard to get, and has not been since 2024. For twenty years it was the drink you could only have if you went to Taco Bell. That is over.

What is still true is that the fountain version and the can version are different experiences, and that British readers have a much better option than the import shops that dominate the search results.

Is Baja Blast still a seasonal or Taco Bell exclusive?

No, on both counts.

Mountain Dew’s own product page settles it. It describes Baja Blast as:

“MOUNTAIN DEW® with a blast of natural & artificial tropical lime flavor. A summer classic, available all year.”

That wording is doing real work, because for most of the drink’s life it was neither. According to Wikipedia’s history of the drink, it launched on 29 July 2004 as a Taco Bell exclusive — a collaboration with PepsiCo, and one of the first cases of a restaurant chain getting its own soda. It was not sold in packaged form at all until 2014, and even then retail availability was summer-only. In January 2024, for the drink’s 20th anniversary, Pepsi announced it would stay on shelves permanently.

So if your memory is that you can only buy this thing in July, that memory is two years out of date.

Where can I buy it in the US?

Any large grocery retailer, in cans and bottles.

• Target lists a 12-pack of 12 fl oz cans at $8.39, with pickup and delivery. Stock is per-store, so the site will tell you what your local shop has.
• Walmart, Kroger and Amazon all carry it too, in multipacks and in 20 fl oz single bottles.

There is no trick to it any more and no need to chase a seasonal window. The only thing worth checking is the shelf label, because the Zero Sugar version sits alongside the original and the cans look similar.

What can I get at Taco Bell?

The fountain version, plus two things you cannot buy in a shop at all.

This is the part of the answer that has not changed: the fountain version is a Taco Bell thing, and the frozen and spin-off versions are sold there and not in shops. From its own menu:

Taco Bell prices vary by restaurant, so treat these as the shape of it rather than a guarantee. Baja Midnight is a passionfruit spin-off that Taco Bell introduced in summer 2025, and the Freeze is the frozen version — neither has a canned equivalent on a supermarket shelf.

Where can I buy it in the UK?

Go to Taco Bell. The import shops are the fallback, not the answer.

This is the part most articles get wrong, and it is worth being precise about. Taco Bell UK lists Mountain Dew Baja Blast Zero Sugar on its drinks menu. We read that on Taco Bell UK’s own menu page, and it means a British reader can walk in and buy it without paying import prices.

The important caveat: it is the Zero Sugar version. The full-sugar Baja Blast is not on the UK drinks menu. If you specifically want the original recipe, Taco Bell UK is not the route.

For cans, the UK market is American import sweet shops, and it is thin. Checking four of them:

Three of the four had none when we looked. That is the normal state of a grey-import product: it is listed far more often than it is actually on a shelf, so check the stock status rather than the price.

Note also what you are buying: single 355ml cans, not multipacks. In the US the same drink comes twelve at a time from a supermarket. The gap between those two experiences is bigger than any exchange rate.
