Where to Buy KPop Demon Hunters Backpacks in the US and UK
- There are two official lines, and they are not competing. Netflix Shop sells full-size backpacks at $59.95 / £55. Loungefly makes collector mini backpacks at $90. One is for carrying books, the other is not.
- The same mini backpack costs different amounts depending on where you buy it. The HUNTR/X mini is $90 from Loungefly and $95 from Netflix Shop; in the UK it is £84.99 at Truffle Shuffle and GeekCore against £86 at Netflix Shop.
- UK buyers have a £135 line to watch. Netflix Shop charges 20% VAT at checkout on orders under £135. Go over and it charges no VAT — but the parcel can then be hit with customs charges on delivery. A bigger basket is the more annoying one.
- Netflix Shop has a proper UK storefront in pounds, and says UK-held stock ships without going through customs at all. Loungefly has no UK site, so British buyers go through specialists like Truffle Shuffle, GeekCore, HMV or TJ Toys.
- Watch the words ‘Mini Backpack Keychain Charm’. Loungefly sells one at $20 and it is a charm shaped like a bag, not a bag.
There are two official KPop Demon Hunters backpack lines, and confusing them is the easiest way to overpay. One is a $59.95 school bag. The other is a $90 collector’s piece that will not hold a laptop.
Sorting out which is which — and which shop is actually licensed — is most of the job. The prices below were read in dollars and in pounds on the sellers’ own pages.
What backpacks actually exist?
Two lines from two makers, both licensed.
Netflix Shop sells the range direct. Its bags and backpacks collection runs to 19 products, of which the actual backpacks are:

Loungefly is the licensee behind the collector bags, and its own mini backpacks sit at $90.00: an exclusive Saja Boys mini, the HUNTR/X mini with photo card charm, and an exclusive Derpy cosplay light-up glow mini.
The rest of the Netflix Shop collection fills in around them — crossbody bags at $34.95, a glow-in-the-dark Derpy crossbody at $75.00, Zoey’s fanny pack at $39.95, a drawstring bag at $35.95 and tote bags from $24.95 to $35.95.
One naming trap before you click. Loungefly also sells a “Cosplay Mystery Mini Backpack Keychain Charm” at $20.00. It has “Mini Backpack” in the name and it is a keychain charm shaped like a bag. If a price looks too good for a backpack, check whether you are buying a backpack.
Where can I buy them in the US?
Direct from Netflix, direct from Loungefly, or from a retailer that stocks Loungefly.
- Netflix Shop — the brand’s own store, and the only place with the full-size $59.95 backpacks.
- Loungefly — the licensee’s own store, and the cheapest route to its mini backpacks at $90.
- BoxLunch — a US retailer carrying the Loungefly range, including the HUNTR/X trio pocket mini backpack with photocard bag charm.
Amazon and Etsy both return large numbers of results for these searches. They are marketplaces, which means the seller rather than the platform determines whether what arrives is licensed. That is not an accusation about any particular listing; it is the reason the three sellers above are listed first.
Where can I buy them in the UK?
Netflix Shop has a real UK storefront. Loungefly does not.
Netflix Shop runs a UK store priced in pounds, and its full-size backpacks are £55.00 there. That is the simplest official route for a British buyer, and the store says something useful about how it ships: it operates distribution centres outside the United States, so “if you live in the UK and the product in your order is available to ship from the UK then it will cost less to ship and will ship faster, without having to go through customs”.
Loungefly has no UK site at all — loungefly.co.uk and loungefly.eu do not resolve. British buyers get its mini backpacks through specialist retailers instead:

Both prices came from the shops’ own product data on 10 August 2026. Note that £84.99 at a UK specialist undercuts the £86.00 that Netflix Shop asks for the same bag — a difference small enough to be decided by whichever one is not charging you postage.
What should each one cost?
About sixty dollars or fifty-five pounds for a bag you actually carry; about ninety for a collector’s mini.
The useful comparison is the HUNTR/X mini backpack, because it is the one product sold by everybody:

What is the £135 rule UK buyers keep hitting?
Netflix Shop charges you the tax up front on small orders and leaves it to the courier on large ones — so a bigger basket is the more painful one.
This is from the shop’s own shipping policy, and it is worth reading twice:
“If the order is being shipped to the United Kingdom and is for less than £135, you will be charged 20% VAT at checkout. If the order exceeds £135, you will not be charged VAT at checkout and the shipment may incur additional customs duties/taxes or other charges.”
Work through what that means in practice:
- One £55 backpack is comfortably under the line. VAT is taken at checkout, and the price you agree to is the price you pay.
- One £86 mini backpack is also under the line. Same story.
- Two backpacks plus a tote, or any basket that tips past £135, flips you into the other regime. Nothing is charged at checkout, which looks like a saving, and then the parcel arrives with a bill attached.
If you were planning to combine a family’s worth of orders to save on postage, that is the calculation to do first. Two separate orders under the threshold can be less hassle than one over it.
How do I know a backpack is official?
Follow the licence, not the artwork.
The artwork is easy to copy and the search results are crowded. The traceable questions are simpler:
- Is the seller the brand or a named licensee? Netflix Shop is the brand’s own store. Loungefly is the licensee, and it publishes its own range, so a Loungefly product sold by a UK specialist can be checked against Loungefly’s own listing.
- Does the product name match a real product? The official names are specific — “HUNTR/X Mini Backpack with Photo Card Charm”, “Exclusive Derpy Cosplay Light-Up Glow Mini Backpack”. Vague names are a reason to look harder.
- Is the price in the right bracket? Full-size official backpacks are around $59.95 / £55 and Loungefly minis around $90 / £85. A “Loungefly-style” mini at a fraction of that is telling you something.
Should I get the full-size or the mini?
They are different objects, and the mini is not a smaller version of the big one.
- The full-size Netflix Shop backpacks at $59.95 / £55 are the ones designed to be used — the collection is pitched at school and travel, and this is the bracket most people searching for a KPop Demon Hunters backpack actually want.
- The Loungefly minis at $90 / £85 are collector goods: cosplay-styled details, light-up and glow versions, photo card charms and exclusives. They carry a phone and a wallet, not textbooks.
If you are buying for a child going back to school, the $59.95 bag is the answer. If you are buying for someone who already owns the soundtrack on vinyl, it is the other one.

How we verified this
Every price was read on the seller’s own page, with the currency confirmed rather than assumed. This mattered more than usual. Netflix Shop displays prices in the currency of wherever you are browsing from, using a dollar sign for several of them — the page we first loaded showed a tote bag at “$1,165.00”, which is Taiwan dollars. The store’s own configuration string gave it away: Shopify.currency = {"active":"TWD","rate":"32.7137545"}. The figures used here come from loading the same collection with ?country=US and ?country=GB, and confirming "active":"USD" and "active":"GBP" before reading anything.
We did not convert between currencies. The dollar prices and the pound prices are each read from the store serving that market. They do not convert into one another, which is normal: UK retail prices include VAT and US prices exclude sales tax.
The £135 rule is quoted from Netflix Shop’s own shipping policy, not from general knowledge about UK import rules. It happens to align with gov.uk’s threshold, which is why it exists.
UK retailer prices come from structured product data, which is harder to misread than page text: Truffle Shuffle and GeekCore both publish £84.99 in GBP with schema.org/InStock. HMV and TJ Toys list the same product but blocked automated checks, so they are named as stockists without a price.
We do not call any marketplace listing counterfeit. We have not tested any product. What this article says is narrower and checkable: which sellers are the brand or a named licensee, and which are marketplaces where the listing rather than the platform decides what you get.
Stock and prices move. The product names, the two official lines and the tax threshold are the durable part.
