Where to Buy the Nike Kobe 5 Protro 'Dodgers': Restocks and Resale
- Retail is effectively gone. It released 15 August 2026 at $190 in unisex sizing, style IO6256-400, and a day later we could not find it on Nike.com’s search, Foot Locker’s search or the SNKRS launch calendar.
- On StockX the lowest ask was $234 and the last sale $274 when we read the page on 16 August. That is roughly 23% over retail at the ask, and these numbers move by size and by hour.
- The cheap listings are not the same shoe. Kobe 5 ‘Dodgers’ also exists in grade school at $141 and preschool at $147, and there is a separate Kobe 6 Protro ‘Dodgers’ at $224. If a price looks too good, check whether you are looking at a kids’ size run.
- Nike has announced no restock. Kobe Protro colourways do sometimes return, but nothing has been dated, and no legitimate seller can promise you a restocked pair.
- Two marketplaces give two different release dates. StockX says 15 August, GOAT says 16 August. The reporting and the retailer listings support the 15th.
A day after release, retail is gone. The Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Dodgers” came out on 15 August 2026 at $190, and when we looked on the 16th it was not on Nike.com’s search, not on Foot Locker’s search, and not on the SNKRS launch calendar.
So the real question is the resale one. On StockX the lowest ask was $234 and the last sale $274 when we read the page. And there is a trap in the cheaper listings that is worth thirty seconds of your attention before you buy anything.
Can you still buy it at retail?
We could not find it anywhere at $190. Here is exactly what we checked on 16 August:

The release coverage described it as going to “SNKRS and select Nike Basketball retailers online and in stores”. Two of the retailers named in that coverage, Hibbett and Dick’s Sporting Goods, blocked our checks completely, so we cannot speak for those either way.
Treat this as “we could not find it” rather than “it does not exist anywhere”. Individual stores and size runs vary, and SNKRS occasionally surfaces stock to some accounts and not others.
What does it cost on resale?
Read on StockX at around 17:30 GMT on 16 August 2026:

The lowest ask is about 23% over retail. Note that the last sale sits above the current lowest ask — that is normal on a two-day-old release, where asks and sales are for different sizes and the market is still finding a level. Do not read it as a trend in either direction.
These are the most perishable numbers on this page. They move by size and by hour. If you are reading this days later, open the page yourself rather than trusting the figures above.
The cheap listings are a different shoe
This is the part that costs people money. Search “Kobe 5 Dodgers” and you will find prices well under $234. They are not bargains on this shoe.

Two separate traps in one search result. The GS and PS pairs are children’s size runs, which is why they are cheaper — if your foot is past a big-kids size there is no version of that listing for you. And the Kobe 6 Protro “Dodgers” is a different silhouette that happens to share the theme.
Before paying, check the style code. The adult release is IO6256-400, in Rush Blue/Wolf Grey/Comet Red.
Will there be a restock?
Nothing has been announced. Nike has not dated a restock, and there is no page to watch that currently shows one.
What can be said is that Kobe Protro colourways have returned before, so a restock is not impossible. But “not impossible” is not a plan, and it is worth being blunt about the consequence: no seller can legitimately promise you a restocked pair, because the restock itself has not been announced. Anyone taking money today against a future restock is selling you something they do not have.
If one does happen, SNKRS is where it would appear first.

The two marketplaces are not shops with stock. They are platforms where sellers list against a size, so what you see is an ask that can change between opening the page and checking out.
One naming note: GOAT files it as “Zoom Kobe 5 Protro ‘Dodgers’” while StockX calls it “Kobe 5 Protro Dodgers”. Same style code, same shoe.
What to check before you pay
- Match the style code, not the name. IO6256-400. The name appears on at least four different products.
- Check the size run. If the price is around $141–$147, you are almost certainly looking at grade school or preschool.
- Re-read the ask before checkout. On a release this new, the number you loaded the page with may not be the number you pay.
- Use a platform that authenticates. Both marketplaces above verify pairs; a direct transfer to a stranger does not.
- Do not pay for a restock. None has been announced, so nobody can sell you one.
- Remember the last sale is not your price. It was one pair, in one size, at one moment.

How we verified this
Every resale figure was read on the platform’s own page in a browser, and is stamped. StockX and GOAT both refuse plain fetching, so the pages were opened and read directly. The StockX numbers — lowest ask $234, last sale $274, highest bid $210 — come from its product page for IO6256-400 at roughly 17:30 GMT on 16 August 2026. Resale prices are the most perishable thing here; they move by size and by hour, and anyone reading this later should expect different numbers.
We could not get US pricing out of GOAT and did not convert. GOAT prices in the currency of wherever you are browsing from, and our session priced the shoe in New Taiwan dollars. Rather than convert that and present the result as a US price, we have used StockX’s dollar figures, whose page identified itself as the US listing.
“Retail is gone” is what we found, not a claim about every door. We checked three surfaces on 16 August: Nike.com’s own search, Foot Locker’s search, and the SNKRS launch calendar. The shoe appeared on none of them, while the calendar did carry a different Kobe 5 Protro colourway. Nike served us its US site throughout — dollar prices, “US” in the page titles. Individual stores, size runs and SNKRS accounts can still differ, so this means “we could not find it”, not “no pair exists anywhere”.
We did not treat a guessed URL as evidence. A guessed SNKRS product path returned 404, but so does an invented one, so that test proves nothing about whether a page exists. The findings above rest on searches and listings that did return results, not on 404s.
The style code and colourway are confirmed by two independent listings. StockX and GOAT both give IO6256-400 and the colourway Rush Blue/Wolf Grey/Comet Red, which also matches the retailer coverage.
The two platforms disagree on the release date and we say which we used. StockX gives 08/15/2026, GOAT gives 08-16-2026. Sneaker Bar Detroit, which we could open and control-test, gives 15 August, so that is the date used. This is the same one-day split we found between the same two platforms on a previous shoe.
No resale forecast appears here. We report what the market showed at a stated time. We do not predict what this shoe will be worth, and nobody honestly can.
One widely-cited write-up was dropped because we could not open it. A sneaker site’s “where to buy” store list appears in search results for this shoe, but its domain returns the same Cloudflare block for a real URL and an invented one — which voids the test rather than proving anything. Since the only claim it would have supported was that the shoe sold out at named stockists, and we could not confirm that, the claim is not made. What replaces it is our own check of three surfaces, which is weaker in reach but is ours.
We are not linking retailers that we could not verify. Hibbett and Dick’s Sporting Goods are named in the release coverage but both blocked our checks entirely, so they are mentioned without links rather than presented as confirmed stockists.
