Reading Festival 2027 Tickets: On-Sale Dates, £10 Deposit and What Is Known

Reading 2026 is over. The festival ran 27 to 30 August and closed on the Sunday night. There is no 2026 ticket to buy, no waitlist that matters and no day left to choose between.

The next one is Reading 2027, 26 to 29 August, at the same Richfield Avenue site. Sign-up for a weekend ticket opens on a £10 deposit, with early access for email subscribers and app users at 10am on Friday 4 September 2026 and general on-sale at 10am on Friday 11 September 2026.

Here is how the 2027 sale works, what is and is not yet known about the price, and what the 2026 sale ended up looking like — because that is the only guide anyone has to what 2027 will cost.

Can you still get Reading Festival 2026 tickets?

On a £10 deposit, in two waves. Early access is at 10am on Friday 4 September 2026 and is limited to email subscribers and app users; general on-sale is at 10am on Friday 11 September 2026. The deposit secures a 2027 weekend ticket and the balance is paid in monthly instalments — which is credit, and is treated as such below.

Saturday was marked “Final Release” — the festival’s own label for its last tranche — while Sunday never carried one. That is the shape to expect again in 2027: camping and weekend tickets go first, day tickets linger, and the cheapest day is the one nobody is fighting over.

If camping is the point for you, note how 2026 went: Reading’s camping sold out while Leeds at Bramham Park still had some. Both sites go on sale together for 2027, and camping is the tier that runs out first.

How much are Saturday and Sunday tickets?

£205 for Saturday, £125 for Sunday — an £80 gap between two days of the same festival, on the same site, with the same facilities.

Those are ticket prices from the festival’s page and exclude Ticketmaster’s booking fees, which appear at checkout.

Is Sunday better value than Saturday?

On the numbers, yes — and it is not close. Sunday costs £80 less and has more acts.

That is the entire like-for-like comparison, and it runs against the price. Sunday gives you one more act across the same four stages for 61% of the cost.

What the price gap is actually about is who is on, not how much is on. Saturday’s bill is built around Dave and Raye; Sunday’s around Chase & Status and Florence + The Machine. Which of those is worth £80 more to you is not a question a table can answer — but if you came here looking for the cheaper way in rather than for a specific artist, Sunday is unambiguously it.

Who is playing on Saturday?

Twenty-eight acts across four stages, headed by Dave and Raye on The Grid.

The Gallery is the strongest non-main stage of the weekend on paper, with Gunna and Viagra Boys on the same day — two acts with essentially no audience overlap, which is the sort of programming that makes a day ticket work harder.

Who is playing on Sunday?

Twenty-nine acts, headed by Chase & Status Live, Florence + The Machine and Loyle Carner — plus a slot the festival never named in advance.

There was an unbilled act on the main stage. The lineup page carried an entry reading only “Special Guest”, on The Grid on Sunday, scheduled 15:15 to 16:00 — and the festival’s own artist page for that slot still names nobody.

The Warehouse is the drum and bass day, with Hybrid Minds, Hedex, Bou and Hamdi stacked on one stage — worth knowing if that is either exactly what you want or exactly what you do not.

Where should you buy them?

Ticketmaster UK, reached from the festival’s own tickets page. Every buy button on that page resolves to a ticketmaster.co.uk event link.

That matters most in the first hour of an on-sale, when a sold-out tier sends people to whatever search result loads fastest. The safe sequence is short:

1. Go to the festival’s own tickets page, not to a search result.
2. Use the buy button there, which hands you to Ticketmaster.
3. Check the price you are being asked for against £205 Saturday / £125 Sunday plus fees. Anything materially above that is not the festival selling to you.

The page also offers PayPal Pay in 3. It is credit — the site carries its own warning that it is unregulated, to consider affordability, and that it is 18+ subject to status. For a ticket you would use in twelve months’ time, spreading the balance over monthly instalments is a financing decision, not a discount — and missing a payment can cost you the ticket.

Is there an official Reading Festival resale?

No — and the absence is the point. The words “authorised”, “face value”, “Twickets”, “See Tickets”, “viagogo” and “StubHub” appear nowhere on the festival’s tickets page. There is no official resale partner to send you to.

What the page offers instead, for every sold-out type, is a waitlist: you register interest and are contacted if inventory is returned. That is not the same as a resale marketplace, and it comes with no guarantee.

Which means every resale site you find for this weekend is unofficial. We are not going to tell you what to do with that, but two things are worth holding on to. The festival names no partner, so nobody is vouching for those listings. And anything still listed for Reading 2026 is a listing for an event that has already finished, which is the clearest signal a marketplace can give you about how carefully it is policed.

The one concrete check you can always make is the number: £205 for Saturday, £125 for Sunday, plus Ticketmaster’s fees. A price far above that is not the festival selling to you, whatever the page says.

What is sold out?

Each of those offers a waitlist rather than a price.

When does Reading Festival run — 2026 and 2027?

Reading 2026 ran 27 to 30 August 2026 at Richfield Avenue and is finished. It was billed as Pepsi Max presents Reading 26 and run by Festival Republic, with the sister event at Bramham Park for Leeds across the same weekend. Reading 2027 runs 26 to 29 August 2027, same site, same Festival Republic pairing with Leeds.

The music days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday — the three days the lineup is split across, and the three the day tickets correspond to. As this page is updated, Friday is under way and both remaining tickets are for days that have not started.
