Pokémon 30th Celebration in the US: Release Dates, Promos and Night Out

- 🔑 The Pokémon TCG set is officially called 30th Celebration, and its English release was Sept. 16, 2026. Pokémon’s official October roundup, dated Oct. 1, lists six products: four on Oct. 2, the Deck Crafter’s Collection on Oct. 23 and two Battle Decks on Oct. 30. It prints no prices.
- Pokémon GO’s retail event runs from Sept. 27 to Oct. 20, 2026, at participating Best Buy, GameStop and Target locations, with Mega Gengar appearing more often in Mega Raids. Redeeming a GO gift card from those retailers through Oct. 31 earns a Gengar Knit Cap avatar item, limited to one per account.
- Pokémon Night Out is Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, with Marshmello headlining and Alison Wonderland supporting, then The O2 in London on Nov. 10. Pokémon’s own post says London tickets are still available but gives no status for Los Angeles, so check Ticketmaster.
- The Los Angeles show streams on the official Pokémon Twitch and YouTube channels at 7:30 p.m. PDT on Oct. 24. Watching 30 minutes on Twitch earns a code for Timed Research that awards a Night Out baseball jersey for your Pokémon GO avatar. The code can be claimed once.
- Two items are reported but not officially confirmed: a free Mewtwo promo card with $15 or more of Pokémon TCG products at participating US retailers from Oct. 2 while supplies last, and a McDonald’s Happy Meal card promotion reported for Nov. 5 to Dec. 9, 2026.
Pokémon’s 30th anniversary in the US comes down to a short list of dated items: new Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration products on Oct. 2, Oct. 23 and Oct. 30, a Pokémon GO retail event that runs through Oct. 20, and Pokémon Night Out at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026. The card set is officially called 30th Celebration, not 30th Anniversary, so search for that name. Dates and contents below come from official Pokémon sources as of Oct. 2, 2026, and anything unconfirmed is labeled as reported.
What is Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration, and when did it launch?
Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration is the anniversary card expansion, and its English release was Sept. 16, 2026. Pokémon’s own release roundup names Mewtwo ex, Mew ex, Umbreon ex, Salamence ex and Greninja ex as lead cards and highlights 30 unique Pikachu rare variations.
That roundup lists no prices, so we are not printing any. The retailer’s own listing is the number to trust, and stores set their own purchase limits. For pack contents and British pricing, see our UK buying guide .
Which Pokémon TCG products release in October 2026?
Pokémon’s Oct. 1 release roundup lists six products: four on Oct. 2, one on Oct. 23 and one on Oct. 30.
| Date | Product | Inside |
|---|---|---|
| Oct. 2 | 30th Celebration Mini Tin | 2 packs, stickers, art card |
| Oct. 2 | 30th Celebration Booster Bundle | 6 packs |
| Oct. 2 | Mini Portfolio | Holds up to 60 cards, 1 pack |

| Oct. 23 | Deck Crafter’s Collection | 40 cards, foil Meowth ex |
| Oct. 30 | Battle Decks | Espeon ex or Umbreon ex, 60 cards each |
The Mini Tin comes in 10 designs with combinable artwork. The Mini Portfolio and the blister are not described as 30th Celebration products. Both all-foil Battle Decks include an illustration rare-style promo: Victini with Espeon ex and Zeraora with Umbreon ex.
Is there a free Mewtwo promo card with a purchase?
Reported but not officially confirmed on a page we could read, a promo Mewtwo card is being given out from Oct. 2, 2026 with $15 or more of Pokémon TCG products at participating US retailers. Reports list GameStop, Best Buy, Hot Topic, Five Below, Barnes & Noble, Macy’s and BoxLunch, in stores and online.
The same reports say it is while supplies last, so spending $15 does not guarantee a card, and none gives an end date. They describe an alternate Mewtwo from the set with an anniversary logo and a What’s Your Favorite? stamp. Check the store’s own page before planning a trip around it.
What is the Pokémon GO retail event at Best Buy, GameStop and Target?
Pokémon GO is running a retail event tied to the card set from Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026 at 10:00 p.m. local time, at participating Best Buy, GameStop and Target locations. The official post lists both the stores and the retailers’ websites.
Mega Gengar appears more often in Mega Raids at participating locations, with a chance at its Shiny form. Retail-themed Timed Research must be finished by Friday, Nov. 20, 2026 at 10:00 p.m. local time. Redeeming a Pokémon GO gift card from those three retailers between Sept. 27 and Oct. 31 gives a Gengar Knit Cap avatar item, once per account.
Where and when is Pokémon Night Out in the US?
Pokémon Night Out Los Angeles is Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, with Marshmello headlining and Alison Wonderland supporting. A London show follows on Nov. 10, 2026 at The O2.
The campaign site points Los Angeles buyers to Ticketmaster and London buyers to AXS. Pokémon’s Sept. 28 post says London tickets are still available but gives no status for Los Angeles, and we could not read the ticket page, so check Ticketmaster for current availability.
A limited-edition Night Out collection launched at Pokémon Center on Sept. 29 with T-shirts, sweatshirts, jerseys and a clear vinyl bag, also sold at an on-site shop at the events. We could not read the product pages, so no prices appear here.
How can I watch Pokémon Night Out online and get the Twitch Drop?
Pokémon is livestreaming the Los Angeles show on its official Twitch and YouTube channels on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. PDT, which is 10:30 p.m. Eastern. Watching 30 minutes on Twitch earns a Pokémon GO reward.
Per the Pokémon GO news post, follow the official Pokémon Twitch channel, link your account, watch for 30 minutes and claim the drop. The code is shown in the Pokémon Rewards inventory and redeemed on Niantic’s offer redemption page. It unlocks Timed Research, and finishing that awards a Night Out baseball jersey for your avatar. Each trainer can claim the code once, and the post lists no expiry date.
Are the other Pokémon 30 events still running?
The free What’s Your Favorite? photo campaign in Pokémon GO is still listed with no end date, while the Pokémon Day Out family events have wrapped up. You pick from over 1,000 Pokémon in the app, take a snapshot and share it with #Pokemon30. Day Out ran in New York City, Bordeaux-Mérignac, Dresden and Mexico City, and the campaign site gives no dates.
Is a McDonald’s Pokémon card promotion coming?
Reports say McDonald’s US will run a Pokémon card promotion from Nov. 5 to Dec. 9, 2026, but we found no official announcement from McDonald’s or The Pokémon Company as of Oct. 2. Reports from Sept. 28, citing a fan-site leak, put it at 15 cards in 4-card packs and say no announcement had been made. The cards would come with a Happy Meal, so this is not a card purchase in the usual sense.
What is still unconfirmed?
Three items are open: Los Angeles ticket availability, the Mewtwo promo terms and the McDonald’s dates. Everything else above has a date from an official Pokémon page.
For the card set itself, our UK buying guide covers the box contents and the UK side of the same release.
How we verified this
What we checked, and when. Everything on this page was read on Oct. 2, 2026 (US Eastern). Product dates, contents and promo card names come from Pokémon’s own Oct. 1 release roundup. Night Out details come from Pokémon’s Sept. 28 party post, its Oct. 2 livestream post and the Pokémon 30 campaign site. The Pokémon GO retail event and the Twitch Drop come from two Pokémon GO news posts, and the Oct. 24 show time and Ticketmaster link match the venue’s own event schedule. That is official or primary material from four sites.
Names and spellings. The Umbreon Battle Deck promo is Zeraora; one early read of the roundup rendered it differently, and two later reads of the same post gave Zeraora. The Mini Portfolio and the Enhanced 2-Pack Blister are not described as 30th Celebration products in that post, so this page does not label them that way.
A conflict on Los Angeles tickets. One automated summary of the Sept. 28 party post said Los Angeles tickets were sold out. A verbatim re-read found only a sentence saying London tickets are still available and nothing about Los Angeles, and the venue’s schedule listed the show with a Ticketmaster link. We made no sold-out or on-sale claim for Los Angeles. The Ticketmaster page itself could not be read, so ticket status was unresolved when we finished.
Reported, not officially confirmed. The Mewtwo promo is described with the same terms (Oct. 2 start, $15 spend, seven US retailers, while supplies last) by several outlet reports, which cite The Pokémon Company, but we could not find the terms on a Pokémon or retailer page we could read, so it is labeled as reported. The McDonald’s promotion rests on reports from Sept. 28 that cite a fan-site leak and say no official announcement had been made; we found no McDonald’s or Pokémon source. Both were still unresolved at write time.
What we did not check or print. No US prices appear: Pokémon’s roundup lists none, and Pokémon Center and major retailer pages could not be read. The contents and prices of the Pokémon Center 30th Collection and the Night Out merchandise were not verified beyond what Pokémon’s own posts say. No card counts, pack odds, most-valuable-card lists, resale prices or auction results appear anywhere on this page, and no betting odds, spreads or win-probability models do either.
Still moving at write time. Los Angeles ticket availability, the Mewtwo promo’s terms and end date, the McDonald’s dates, the Pokémon GO retail event (through Oct. 20, 2026) and the Twitch Drop, which had not yet run.
