Palworld 1.0 World Tree Holy Water: Best Farming Route and Locations

- World Tree Holy Water only exists inside the World Tree. It cannot be mined, crafted, ranched or bought — you either pick it up from a Teafant Spring, which gives 5–10 a time at 100%, or you kill Lv 70+ World Tree Pals, which drop 1–3 at a 50% rate.
- Its real job is not crafting. Drinking it stops World Tree resource nodes vanishing as you walk up to them, which is what makes Paloxite and Mythical Wood harvestable at all.
- The best loop is Alluvion Lakefront: take the Teafant Spring there, clear the high-level Pals around the water, and come back when the spring refreshes. Dusty Ravine is the second circuit.
- Budget more than the recipe says. A basic Drone Launcher lists 40 Holy Water, but its 70 Paloxite Ingots need one vial each — so the real cost is 110, and 192 at the highest schematic tier.
If a Palworld 1.0 recipe has stopped you dead at World Tree Holy Water, the problem is usually that you are looking for it in the wrong kind of place. It is not ore, it is not a ranch product, and no merchant sells it. It exists only inside the World Tree, the endgame region you open by catching Panthalus, and there are exactly two ways to put it in your bag.
Platforms. Palworld 1.0 runs on Windows PC (Steam, Microsoft Store and PC Game Pass), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Mac (Mac App Store), and it is on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
What is World Tree Holy Water?
An endgame consumable that stops the World Tree’s resources disappearing on you — and, incidentally, a crafting ingredient in almost everything built out there.
The in-game description is blunt about the first job: when consumed, World Tree resources will not vanish when approached for a period of time. That is not flavour text. The World Tree’s harvestable nodes — Paloxite ore, Mythical Wood — despawn as you walk up to them unless the buff is running, which is why players who ignore Holy Water early conclude the region’s resources are bugged.
The second job is the one the recipes care about. It is a listed ingredient in the region’s whole tech tier, starting with the Paloxite Ingot that everything else is built from.
It cannot be mined, crafted, produced at a Ranch, or bought. Inside the World Tree it is everywhere; outside it, there is no supply at all.
How do you get World Tree Holy Water?
Two routes: Teafant Springs give a guaranteed 5–10 a time, and Lv 70+ World Tree Pals drop 1–3 at a 50% rate.
| Source | Amount | Chance | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Teafant Spring | 5–10 | 100% | Small stone fountains dotted around the World Tree; also restores the party. Refreshes on a timer |
| World Tree Pals (Lv 70+) | 1–3 | 50% | Recorded identically for 80 different Pals in the datamine — species does not matter |
The springs are the safer half. They are a guaranteed stack for walking up to a fountain, they carry no combat risk, and they are the only route that works the day you arrive in the region under-levelled. Their limit is the refresh timer: one spring is not a supply line.
The Pal drop is the scalable half, and the flat numbers are the useful discovery. Every one of the 80 World Tree species recorded as dropping Holy Water drops the same 1–3 at 50% — Bastigor, Elgrove, Dualith, Starryon Primo, Aegidron and the rest are identical for this purpose. There is no best Pal to hunt. Hunt whatever is dense, close to a fast-travel point, and weak to what you brought.
That works out to an expected one vial per kill — an average of two per drop, half the time.
What is the best World Tree Holy Water farming route?
Alluvion Lakefront: take the spring, clear the water’s edge, come back when it refreshes.
The Lakefront is the best single stop because it stacks both sources on top of each other — a Teafant Spring plus dense groups of high-level Pals around the water, all inside one fast-travel radius. The loop is:
- Fast-travel to Alluvion Lakefront and take the Teafant Spring first, before you aggro anything. That is your guaranteed 5–10 banked whatever happens next.
- Clear the Pals along the shoreline. Work outward from the water rather than inland; the density falls off quickly once you leave the lake.
- Pick up carefully. Holy Water drops into the same pile as Radiant Gems, Ancient Relics, leather and organs, and it is easy to walk away from.
- Leave and come back. The spring refreshes on its own timer and the Pals repopulate; fast-travelling out and back is faster than waiting.
Dusty Ravine is the second circuit, and worth having because it lets you alternate rather than stand around waiting for one spring. Run it the same way.
Two more spots are worth knowing without being routes in their own right: the area around Lacrymal Shoal, the World Tree’s south-western fast-travel point, has Pals along the river shores, and the region’s centre has more Teafant fountains. And if you are already in the World Tree for something else — an Aegidron run for Thermal Cores , say — the Holy Water accumulates on its own, because everything out there drops it.
On coordinates. The World Tree is a separate map with its own origin, and different guides publish numbers from different systems for the same landmark. You will see Alluvion Lakefront given as roughly −1638, 1340 and Dusty Ravine as −1561, 1512; our own Thermal Core guide puts Aegidron at roughly −59, 756 on a different grid. Do not try to reconcile them. Navigate to the named fast-travel point and use the numbers only as a sanity check.
One route we are not going to recommend: a single guide describes a cave tunnel west of the Forbidden Laboratory where ice falls from the ceiling and Holy Water appears on the ground for about a minute. We could not corroborate it anywhere else, so treat it as a lead rather than a farm.
How do you increase Holy Water drops?
Bring an element-matched drop-booster and, if you play solo, turn the multiplier up.
Partner Skills that raise drops from a specific element apply to Holy Water like anything else. The trick is picking one whose element boost matches the Pals you are killing and whose own type beats them — a Ground-type booster for Electric drops, for instance, gets both the bonus and the type advantage on the same circuit. Because the 1–3 / 50% drop is identical across all 80 species, you are free to choose your hunting ground around the booster you own rather than around a target list.
Solo players have a blunter option: World Settings → Custom Settings → Dropped Items Multiplier. It is a legitimate lever in a single-player world, and this is a material where the grind is long enough to justify it.
How much World Tree Holy Water do you actually need?
Considerably more than the recipe line says — because every Paloxite Ingot quietly costs one as well.
This is the part that catches people out. A Paloxite Ingot is 1 Soralite + 2 Paloxite + 1 World Tree Holy Water at Technology 74. So anything built out of ingots is paying Holy Water twice: once in its own recipe, and once per ingot underneath it.
| Build | Listed Holy Water | Paloxite Ingots | Real total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Drone Launcher (no schematic) | 40 | 70 | 110 |
| Drone Launcher (schematic 1) | 50 | 87 | 137 |
| Drone Launcher (schematic 2) | 60 | 105 | 165 |
| Drone Launcher (schematic 3) | 70 | 122 | 192 |
| Ancient Hot Spring (Tech 76) | 10 | 100 | 110 |
At an expected one vial per kill, a basic Drone Launcher is about 110 World Tree Pals, or roughly 15 spring pickups at the 5–10 average, or any mix of the two. At the top schematic tier it is nearer 192. Budget accordingly before you start smelting, because running out mid-build means going back for another lap.
What is World Tree Holy Water used for?
Everything the World Tree tech tier is made of, plus the buff that lets you harvest the region at all.
- Paloxite Ingot — 1 per ingot. This is the big one, because the ingot is the base of the entire endgame tier.
- Drone Launcher — 40 at Technology 77, rising to 70 at the highest schematic rarity. It also takes Holy Water to repair after heavy use.
- Ancient Hot Spring — 10, at Technology 76, alongside 100 Paloxite Ingots, 20 Thermal Core and 20 Cryogenic Coolant.
- Awakening — the Awakening Crystals that push a Pal past its normal stat ceiling are built from Radiant Gems and Holy Water, both farmed in the same region.
- Harvesting the World Tree — drink it and the region’s nodes stop vanishing as you approach.
If you are stocking up for the endgame generally, the neighbouring bottlenecks are Soralite from the Sunreach sky islands and Thermal Core , and the whole new weapon tier sits on top of all three.
The bottom line
Holy Water is not a rare drop you have to hunt for — it is ambient inside the World Tree and non-existent outside it. The only real decisions are where you farm it and how much you need before you start.
Take the Teafant Spring at Alluvion Lakefront every time you pass, clear the shoreline while you are there, alternate with Dusty Ravine when the spring is on cooldown, and work to the total-cost table rather than the recipe line — because the recipe line is missing the 70 vials hiding inside your ingots.
How we verified this
This covers Palworld’s 1.0 release. Item data — the 5–10 world drop at 100%, the 1–3 at 50% Pal drop, the Paloxite Ingot recipe of 1 Soralite + 2 Paloxite + 1 Holy Water, the Drone Launcher tiers and the Ancient Hot Spring recipe — is read off the paldb.cc datamine entry for the item, and the in-game item description is quoted from the same entry. The 80 Pals listed as dropping it are all recorded at Lv 70 with identical 1–3 / 50% figures, so the guide treats the drop as uniform rather than ranking species.
THE TOTAL-COST FIGURES ARE OUR ARITHMETIC, not a published number: each Paloxite Ingot consumes one Holy Water, so an item’s real bill is its own Holy Water line plus one per ingot. The workings are shown so they can be redone.
COORDINATES ARE THE AWKWARD PART. The World Tree is a separate map layer with its own origin, and guides quote readouts from different systems for the same spot — our own Thermal Core guide places Aegidron at roughly −59, 756 on one grid while community farming guides give Alluvion Lakefront as −1638, 1340 on another. Both can be right about the place and useless if typed into the wrong map. Navigate by the fast-travel point names, which are stable, and treat every number here as a cross-check.
THE ICE-CAVE PICKUP west of the Forbidden Laboratory rests on a single guide and we could not corroborate it, so it is flagged rather than routed.
