Key takeaways
  • As read at 1:44 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, ESPN, FantasyPros and CBS Sports all rank Josh Allen QB1, Brock Purdy QB2 and Brock Bowers TE1 in PPR for Week 6.
  • RB1 splits: Bijan Robinson for ESPN (all eight rankers) and CBS, Kenneth Walker III in FantasyPros’ 24-expert PPR consensus. WR1 splits too: Puka Nacua for ESPN and FantasyPros, Jaxon Smith-Njigba for CBS.
  • Some of the widest gaps involve unresolved injuries: Saquon Barkley is ESPN’s RB17, FantasyPros’ RB59 (expert range 14 to 64) and not in CBS’s displayed top 48, and CBS lists Tyler Huntley rather than Lamar Jackson for Baltimore.
  • The Bengals, Lions, Dolphins and Vikings are on bye, so Ja’Marr Chase, Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Justin Jefferson are off every Week 6 list.
  • ⚠️ As of 1:44 p.m. ET on Oct. 13, no Sunday or Monday team had a Week 6 game status. Sunday teams’ practice reports start Wednesday, Oct. 14; under the league’s two-days-before-kickoff rule their statuses come Friday, Oct. 16 (Washington and San Francisco: Saturday, Oct. 17). ESPN’s O and Q tags are not NFL designations.
  • ⚠️ This site publishes no rankings of its own, and these numbers move: FantasyPros’ PPR lists grew from 22 to 24 experts between 1:19 and 1:38 p.m. ET on Oct. 13, and Barkley moved from RB64 to RB59.

As of 1:44 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, ESPN, FantasyPros and CBS Sports all had Week 6 PPR rankings up, and all three put Josh Allen at QB1, Brock Purdy at QB2 and Brock Bowers at TE1. At running back and receiver, though, they disagree about who goes first. Bijan Robinson is RB1 for ESPN and CBS, but Kenneth Walker III is RB1 in the FantasyPros PPR consensus. Puka Nacua is WR1 for ESPN and FantasyPros, while CBS has Jaxon Smith-Njigba. The biggest gaps involve players whose injury status is unresolved. For example, all eight ESPN rankers have Saquon Barkley between 14th and 18th, the FantasyPros consensus has him 59th, and he isn’t in CBS’s top 48. This site doesn’t publish its own rankings or start/sit calls. This page compares what the three outlets publish, and every number is tied to the time it was read. Week 6 runs from Thursday, Oct. 15 to Monday, Oct. 19. The Bengals, Lions, Dolphins and Vikings are on bye.

Which Week 6 rankings does this page compare, and how does each outlet build them?

This page compares the Week 6 PPR rankings that ESPN, FantasyPros and CBS Sports published on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Each outlet builds its list a different way.

  • ESPN averages eight rankers: Matt Bowen, Mike Clay, Tristan H. Cockcroft, Daniel Dopp, Eric Karabell, Liz Loza, Eric Moody and Field Yates. Its quarterback, running back, receiver and tight end pages went up late Tuesday morning: the quarterback page is stamped 11:01 a.m. ET and the tight end page 11:30 a.m. ET. ESPN says the ranks are “updated throughout the week for news and emerging analysis.” This page gives ESPN’s composite rank and, where it matters, the range from the highest to the lowest of the eight.
  • FantasyPros publishes an expert consensus ranking (ECR), and the number of experts behind it changes. We last read it at 1:38 p.m. ET. At that point the PPR running back, receiver and tight end lists each drew on 24 experts and were stamped 1:26 p.m. ET. The quarterback list had only 8 experts and was stamped 1:08 p.m. ET. FantasyPros uses one quarterback list for every scoring format. Where a FantasyPros rank sits far from the others, we give the best and worst rank any of its experts assigned.
  • CBS Sports combines Jamey Eisenberg, Dave Richard and Heath Cummings into one PPR rank. CBS shows only 24 quarterbacks, 48 running backs, 48 receivers and 24 tight ends. CBS gives no exact update time. Its pages read “Updated 2h ago” at 1:07 p.m. ET and “Updated 3h ago” at 1:20 and 1:40 p.m. ET, so the last update came around midmorning Tuesday.
  • Other outlets: Yahoo posted Justin Boone’s Week 6 rankings one position at a time early Tuesday afternoon. His wide receiver page is stamped 1:01 p.m. ET, and his default lists are half-PPR. Sports Illustrated, USA Today, RotoBaller, Bleacher Report and FantasyLife also have Week 6 rankings up. This page doesn’t compare any of them.

Format matters at the top. FantasyPros has Walker first in PPR (24 experts) and in standard scoring (23 experts), both stamped 1:26 p.m. ET. In half-PPR, where only 8 experts had submitted ranks (stamped 1:08 p.m. ET), Robinson is first.

These lists change during the day, not just during the week. Between an earlier read at about 12:45 p.m. ET and a 1:05 p.m. ET pull, ESPN’s average for Rhamondre Stevenson improved from 16.9 to 15.0. Between our 1:19 and 1:38 p.m. ET reads, FantasyPros’ PPR lists grew from 22 to 24 experts. In that time Barkley moved from RB64 to RB59 and DeVonta Smith from WR65 to WR63.

Who is on bye in Week 6?

The Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings are on bye, which takes Ja’Marr Chase, Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Justin Jefferson off every Week 6 list. ESPN’s and NFL.com’s schedules both list those four teams. ESPN gives none of those players a Week 6 rank, and no player from the four teams appears in FantasyPros’ PPR flex consensus. Miami’s whole backfield is off this week, including Jaylen Wright. Our Jaylen Wright outlook explains that depth chart. Kansas City and Carolina had their byes in Week 5 and are back this week.

Where do ESPN, FantasyPros and CBS agree?

All three have Josh Allen at QB1, Brock Purdy at QB2, Kyren Williams at RB4, CeeDee Lamb at WR3, Brock Bowers at TE1 and Tyler Warren at TE5. All eight ESPN rankers put Allen first, and so do all eight FantasyPros quarterback experts (his best and worst rank there are both 1). All eight ESPN rankers also have Bowers first, as does CBS, and his worst rank among FantasyPros’ 24 PPR experts is third.

The top two running backs are Robinson and Walker at all three outlets, and the top two receivers are Nacua and Smith-Njigba. Only the order differs.

Who is RB1 and WR1 in Week 6?

It depends on the outlet. Bijan Robinson is RB1 for ESPN and CBS, and Kenneth Walker III is RB1 in FantasyPros’ PPR consensus. Puka Nacua is WR1 for ESPN and FantasyPros, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba is WR1 for CBS.

  • Running back: All eight ESPN rankers have Robinson (ATL) first and Walker (KC) second. CBS also has Robinson first. FantasyPros’ 24 PPR experts give Walker an average rank of 1.50, just ahead of Robinson’s 1.64 (stamped 1:26 p.m. ET).
  • Wide receiver: All eight ESPN rankers have Nacua (LAR) first and Smith-Njigba (SEA) second, and Nacua’s FantasyPros average is 1.05. CBS puts Smith-Njigba first. He has an ankle injury and was listed as limited on Seattle’s estimated Monday practice report. Seattle plays Thursday night at Denver.

How do ESPN, FantasyPros and CBS rank Week 6 quarterbacks?

Thirteen quarterbacks make at least one outlet’s top 10, and only Allen and Purdy hold the same spot at all three. Rows follow ESPN’s composite order. The second column reads ESPN · FantasyPros · CBS. A dash means the player isn’t on that outlet’s list (CBS shows 24 quarterbacks). FantasyPros quarterback ranks come from 8 experts (stamped 1:08 p.m. ET).

Why are Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith ranked so differently?

Neither Eagle has a Week 6 injury designation yet, and each outlet handles that differently. ESPN ranks both inside its top 17. The FantasyPros consensus ranks both far lower, with very wide expert ranges. CBS leaves both out of its displayed lists.

  • Saquon Barkley (PHI, hamstring): ESPN has him at RB17, with all eight rankers between 14th and 18th. FantasyPros has him at RB59 from 24 experts, with a best rank of 14 and a worst of 64. He isn’t in CBS’s top 48. CBS’s highest-ranked Eagles back is Dameon Pierce at RB21. FantasyPros has Pierce at RB37 (best 24, worst 59), and ESPN has him at RB50.
  • DeVonta Smith (PHI, hamstring): ESPN has him at WR16, with the eight between 15th and 18th. FantasyPros has him at WR63, with a best rank of 12 and a worst of 75. He isn’t in CBS’s top 48.
  • The news so far: Barkley missed the Eagles’ Week 5 loss to Jacksonville in London, and Smith has missed the past two games. On Monday, Oct. 12, Nick Sirianni said he was hopeful both could return against Carolina but didn’t commit to either one practicing, per NBC Sports and NFL.com. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that Barkley has a chance to play, depending on how he practices this week. Philadelphia is also short on running backs: NBC Sports reports that Tank Bigsby is on injured reserve and that Will Shipley has a partial plantar fascia tear expected to keep him out for weeks.

FantasyPros doesn’t explain individual expert ranks. Its range shows only that some experts rank Barkley and Smith as high as 14th and 12th, while others rank them as low as 64th and 75th.

How do the outlets handle Lamar Jackson and Caleb Williams?

ESPN and FantasyPros rank Lamar Jackson as a top-7 quarterback, while CBS ranks backup Tyler Huntley instead. Caleb Williams is the reverse case: CBS ranks him higher than the others, at QB9, while ESPN has him at QB15 and FantasyPros at QB19.

  • Lamar Jackson (BAL, ankle): ESPN has him at QB7, with the eight between 4th and 8th. FantasyPros has him at QB5 from 8 experts (best 3, worst 8). He isn’t in CBS’s top 24. CBS lists Huntley at QB20. FantasyPros has Huntley at QB30 (best 24, worst 59), and ESPN gives Huntley no Week 6 rank. Jackson hurt the ankle in Week 4 and sat out Baltimore’s Week 5 win over Atlanta. On Monday, Oct. 12, coach Jesse Minter told reporters Jackson was doing better but said he wasn’t sure what Wednesday’s practice would look like, per the Ravens’ website.
  • Caleb Williams (CHI, hamstring): CBS has him at QB9, ESPN at QB15 (the eight between 13th and 16th) and FantasyPros at QB19 (best 11, worst 28). He has missed three straight games. After the Week 5 loss at Green Bay on Sunday, Oct. 11, Ben Johnson said Williams was on track, and that it would be close whether he returns at Atlanta or later, ESPN reported. On Monday, Johnson declined to name a starter if Williams can’t play, according to ESPN. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Williams could be back in Week 6, per Yahoo Sports.

How are the Breece Hall, TreVeyon Henderson and David Montgomery injuries reflected?

Mostly through their backups. CBS and FantasyPros rank Braelon Allen as a top-18 back while ESPN still ranks Breece Hall. All three rank Rhamondre Stevenson inside their top 14, and all three rank Woody Marks in their top 25.

  • Breece Hall (NYJ, quad): ESPN has him at RB16, with the eight between 12th and 20th. FantasyPros has no Week 6 rank for him, and he isn’t in CBS’s top 48. Hall missed Weeks 4 and 5. CBS Sports reported him week-to-week on Oct. 7, and Aaron Glenn ruled him out of the Week 5 game on Oct. 9, per Pro Football Talk. That Week 5 ruling is the latest one on Hall we could confirm. A Field Level Media headline saying the Jets ruled Hall out showed up again in news feeds Tuesday afternoon, but we couldn’t confirm that it refers to Week 6. Braelon Allen is CBS’s RB17 and FantasyPros’ RB18, but ESPN’s RB40 (the eight between 36th and 45th).
  • TreVeyon Henderson and Rhamondre Stevenson (NE): ESPN reported at 10:50 a.m. ET on Tuesday that Henderson has a high ankle sprain and is expected to miss multiple weeks. ESPN’s sources said he does not need surgery. FantasyPros has dropped Henderson from its Week 6 list, and he isn’t in CBS’s top 48. ESPN’s displayed table still had him at RB44 at 1:41 p.m. ET. Three of its eight rankers had him in their top 50 (28th to 42nd), and the other five showed NR. Stevenson is ESPN’s RB14 (10th to 21st), FantasyPros’ RB14 (best 11, worst 17) and CBS’s RB12.
  • David Montgomery and Woody Marks (HOU): Montgomery is week to week with a groin injury, according to coach DeMeco Ryans as cited in NFL.com’s Monday news roundup. He isn’t on ESPN’s displayed top 50 or in CBS’s top 48. FantasyPros has him at RB57 (best 22, worst 70). Marks is CBS’s RB19, ESPN’s RB22 (22nd to 23rd) and FantasyPros’ RB24 (best 18, worst 29). Houston plays the 9:30 a.m. ET London game.

Which other Week 6 rankings are far apart?

A.J. Brown, Ladd McConkey, Rashee Rice and Deebo Samuel also show wide gaps between outlets, and each has a reported injury.

  • A.J. Brown (NE): He has been on injured reserve since a high ankle sprain in Week 1. Mike Vrabel said Monday that Brown may return to practice this week, per NFL.com. ESPN gives him no Week 6 rank. FantasyPros has him at WR85 (best 22, worst 87), and he isn’t in CBS’s top 48.
  • Ladd McConkey (LAC, foot): Jim Harbaugh said McConkey was available only in an emergency in Week 5, per NFL.com. ESPN has him at WR33 (32nd to 38th) and FantasyPros at WR67 (best 25, worst 72). He isn’t in CBS’s top 48.
  • Rashee Rice (KC): Yahoo’s Week 6 injury roundup lists him with a hamstring injury. ESPN has him at WR17 (16th to 19th) and CBS at WR19, but FantasyPros has him at WR42 (best 17, worst 73). Kansas City had its bye in Week 5.
  • Deebo Samuel (SF, hamstring): Kyle Shanahan said Samuel will miss time, per ESPN and NFL.com. ESPN gives him no Week 6 rank. FantasyPros has him at WR66 (best 26, worst 73), and he isn’t in CBS’s top 48.

When do Week 6 injury designations come out?

As of 1:44 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Oct. 13, no Sunday or Monday team had a Week 6 game status. The Sunday teams’ first practice reports come Wednesday, Oct. 14. Under the league’s two-days-before-kickoff rule, their game statuses come Friday, Oct. 16.

  • Seahawks and Broncos (Thursday game): Neither team practiced on Monday, Oct. 12, so their report that day was an estimate. It listed Smith-Njigba, Zach Charbonnet and Drew Lock as limited. Their game statuses come before Thursday’s 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff, earlier than any other team’s.
  • Sunday teams: The first practice report is Wednesday, Oct. 14. Game statuses (out, doubtful or questionable) follow on Friday, Oct. 16. The timing comes from the league rule that teams give game statuses two days before kickoff, as ESPN reported when the rule took effect in 2016.
  • Commanders and 49ers (Monday game): Under the same rule, their game statuses come Saturday, Oct. 17.
  • Inactives: Teams name them about 90 minutes before each kickoff, so about 8 a.m. ET Sunday for the London game.

ESPN’s tables show O and Q tags next to some team abbreviations. Earlier on Tuesday afternoon, ESPN tagged Barkley, Smith, Hall, Jackson and Williams O. By 1:19 p.m. ET those tags read Q, and they still did at 1:44 p.m. These are ESPN’s own status tags, not Week 6 NFL designations, because no Sunday or Monday team had filed one. ESPN’s hub page also contains a prepared note, not yet visible, saying its ranks have been refreshed to take out players from the Seahawks-Broncos game. So ESPN’s lists later in the week may no longer include Seattle and Denver players.

What is the Week 6 NFL schedule?

Week 6 has 14 games, from Seahawks at Broncos on Thursday, Oct. 15 to Commanders at 49ers on Monday, Oct. 19. Times and networks are from ESPN’s schedule, and NFL.com lists the same games and kickoff times. The Jaguars are the designated home team at Wembley, where kickoff is 2:30 p.m. local time.

How we verified this

Snapshot. Every rank on this page was read between 1:37 and 1:44 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026 (17:37 to 17:44 UTC, pinned with date -u). Earlier reads the same afternoon (about 12:45 p.m., 1:05 to 1:20 p.m. and 1:25 to 1:36 p.m. ET) are used only to show how the lists moved. No Week 6 game had kicked off; the first is Thursday, Oct. 15 at 8:15 p.m. ET.

ESPN’s numbers come from ESPN’s own fantasy API, the data behind its embedded ranking tables, and were checked against the rendered QB, RB, WR and TE tables in a browser between about 1:41 and 1:44 p.m. ET. The order, the eight individual ranks and the averages matched. ESPN’s tables display individual ranks only through 50 and show NR beyond that, so ranks past 50 that exist only in the data feed are not used here: Henderson is described by his three visible ranks, and Montgomery as absent from the displayed table. This page reports only ESPN’s composite rank and the range across the eight, never a named analyst’s rank. Where players tie on ESPN’s average, the order printed is the order ESPN’s table shows. The QB, RB and TE pages are stamped 11:01, 11:24 and 11:30 a.m. ET.

FantasyPros’ numbers come from the consensus data embedded in each ranking page, which carries the ECR, average, best and worst rank, expert count and an update stamp. At the 1:38 p.m. ET pull: PPR RB, WR and TE, 24 experts each, stamped 1:26 p.m. ET; standard RB, 23 experts, 1:26 p.m.; QB, 8 experts, 1:08 p.m.; half-PPR RB, 8 experts, 1:08 p.m. Between the 1:19 and 1:38 p.m. reads the PPR lists went from 22 to 24 experts, which moved Barkley from RB64 to RB59, DeVonta Smith from WR65 to WR63, Rice from WR43 to WR42, McConkey from WR68 to WR67, A.J. Brown from WR86 to WR85, Montgomery from RB58 to RB57 and Deebo Samuel from WR64 to WR66; on the QB list Shough went from QB11 to QB12. The stamps do not always appear in order (the QB list showed a 12:33 p.m. stamp at 1:19 p.m. and a 1:08 p.m. stamp at 1:38 p.m.), so they are treated as FantasyPros’ labels, not exact publication times.

CBS’s ranks were read in a browser from the Consensus view of its weekly PPR pages at about 1:39 to 1:41 p.m. ET; the pages label the three analyst columns Jamey, Dave and Heath, and only the overall rank is used. The ranks were unchanged from reads at 1:07 and 1:20 p.m. ET. CBS renders 24 QBs and TEs and 48 RBs and WRs, so “not in CBS’s top 48” means not displayed, not ranked last. CBS shows only relative “Updated” stamps, so its update time is approximate.

Injury news is dated and attributed in the text. NFL.com’s Monday, Oct. 12 news roundup covers Barkley, Smith, Jackson, Montgomery, A.J. Brown, McConkey and Samuel. NBC Sports covers Sirianni’s comments, Bigsby and Shipley; the Ravens’ site covers Minter; ESPN covers Henderson, Caleb Williams and Samuel; Seahawks.com covers the estimated Monday report; Pro Football Talk and CBS cover Hall’s Week 5 status. Single-source items: Ian Rapoport’s report on Williams and the Lamb line (both seen via Yahoo’s Week 6 injury roundup), Mike Garafolo’s report on Barkley (via USA Today on Yahoo) and Rice’s hamstring listing (Yahoo only). A Field Level Media headline saying the Jets ruled Hall out recirculated on Tuesday afternoon; its text could not be read, and it could not be tied to Week 6 rather than the Oct. 9 Week 5 ruling.

Injury-report timing is partly inferred. The Friday (Sunday games) and Saturday (Monday game) dates follow the two-days-before-kickoff rule as ESPN reported it in 2016; the 2026 policy text was not read, so no specific day is given for the Thursday teams. ESPN’s O and Q tags are not NFL designations: several changed from O to Q during the afternoon while no Sunday or Monday team had issued any report.

The schedule comes from ESPN’s Week 6 scoreboard data (kickoffs converted to ET, networks) and matches NFL.com’s Week 6 page on all 14 games and the four bye teams. Yahoo’s Boone wide receiver page carries a published time of 17:01 UTC (1:01 p.m. ET); the other outlets’ Week 6 rankings were seen in a news-feed search and were not compared. No betting lines, totals, props, DFS salaries, model-based rankings or start/sit grades were used anywhere on this page.
