Which November documentaries are already streaming?
Five are out in the U.S. as of the morning of Saturday, Nov. 7: two from Nov. 4, one from Nov. 5 and two from Nov. 6.
- Ninho: Fame Ain’t Worth It (Wednesday, Nov. 4): a documentary film about Ninho, the French rapper Netflix calls France’s biggest rap star. Netflix’s synopsis says that in 2025, after a decade of hits and sacrifice, he considers walking away, and the film looks at that choice.
- Taken: Natalee Holloway (Wednesday, Nov. 4): a three-episode docuseries from Story Syndicate, directed by Dani Sloane and Matthew Galkin. The episodes run 39, 37 and 36 minutes. Netflix says the series revisits Natalee Holloway’s 2005 disappearance in Aruba and follows her mother, Beth, through the years-long search that brought her face-to-face with the alleged killer. Netflix’s synopsis does not name him.
- High End: The Watch Theft Ring (Thursday, Nov. 5): a Chilean documentary film, known in Spanish as Alta Gama: El caso relojes, about the case known in Chile as the “Caso Relojes.” Netflix’s description says people closest to the case recount how a suitcase full of watches and jewelry exposed a crime ring and sparked a scandal.
- Funny Money: The Dane Cook Story (Friday, Nov. 6): a documentary film directed by Brett Harvey. Netflix says the comedian looks back on his rise from stand-up to stardom, and on a family betrayal that cost him millions. What’s on Netflix reports that it’s a licensed film having its first U.S. subscription-streaming run.
- Unprotected: Murder in Galicia (Friday, Nov. 6): a Spanish documentary film written and directed by Jorge Laplace and produced by True Crime Factory. Netflix’s synopsis says that in 2015, alleged thieves left Isabel Fuentes near death in her own home, and the film traces how suspicion quickly fell on people close to her. It arrived a week before Netflix’s scripted series Murder in Galicia (Nov. 13), which tells the same story as drama.
What’s coming to Netflix between Nov. 11 and Nov. 20?
Three documentary films arrive in the middle of the month: Avedon on Wednesday, Nov. 11, RBG on Tuesday, Nov. 17, and Primetime Preacher$ on Friday, Nov. 20.
- Avedon (Wednesday, Nov. 11): Ron Howard directed this 104-minute film about the photographer Richard Avedon for Imagine Documentaries and Fifth Season, in association with the Richard Avedon Foundation. Netflix says it draws on Avedon’s personal archives, behind-the-lens footage and new interviews with his closest collaborators to trace how his portraits of world leaders, pop icons and supermodels shaped 20th-century visual culture.
- RBG (Tuesday, Nov. 17): the 2018 documentary about Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, directed by Betsy West and Julie Cohen. This licensed film covers her life and her landmark work on women’s rights.
- Primetime Preacher$ (Friday, Nov. 20): a 113-minute documentary film from Academy Award nominee Joe Berlinger. Netflix says it follows Jim Bakker, Jerry Falwell and Jimmy Swaggart, three of the most powerful televangelists of the 1980s, from building TV ministries during primetime hours to the public sex scandal that set them against one another.
What arrives in the last week of November?
Four titles land in the final week: The Trials of Karen Read on Monday, Nov. 23, Rob Lowe: The Outsider and One Last Order on Tuesday, Nov. 24, and TYSON FURY on Friday, Nov. 27.
- The Trials of Karen Read (Monday, Nov. 23): a true-crime docuseries. In Netflix’s synopsis, Boston police officer John O’Keefe is found dead in a blizzard outside a home in Canton, Massachusetts, and suspicion quickly falls on his girlfriend, Karen Read. Netflix says the series runs from the first investigation through years of courtroom battles, with interviews with people who were inside the house, O’Keefe’s family and friends, and trial jurors. Netflix’s Tudum notes that on June 18, 2025, Read was acquitted of second-degree murder and two lesser charges and convicted of operating a vehicle under the influence of liquor. When Netflix first announced the project, it described a three-part series from Sandpaper Films with co-directors Danielle Johnson and Rob Miller. As of Nov. 7, its title page credits Johnson and does not list episodes.
- Rob Lowe: The Outsider (Tuesday, Nov. 24): a 91-minute documentary film directed by Chris Smith for Library Films. Netflix says Lowe looks back on decades of fame, setbacks and second acts, and on how he became one of Hollywood’s most enduring stars.
- One Last Order (Tuesday, Nov. 24): a 21-minute Netflix original documentary short directed by Lauren DeFilippo and Sam Soko. It follows Sighle Williams through her final shift after 37 years at Mac’s Drive-Thru in Gainesville, Florida, on the day the owner gives her every dollar the restaurant takes in, and customers wait in line for hours to say goodbye.
- TYSON FURY (Friday, Nov. 27): a feature-length film directed by Lucy Wilcox and produced by Optomen. Netflix’s press site lists the runtime as 103 minutes, though the title card on Netflix’s Tudum page shows 1 hour 45 minutes. Netflix says it follows the British heavyweight from childhood to the top of boxing, using interviews with Fury and his family and archive footage no one has seen before. It arrives two weeks before Fury vs. Joshua, which is scheduled to stream live on Netflix on Dec. 11.
What time do new Netflix documentaries drop?
Netflix’s November list timestamps each of these documentary releases at 08:00 UTC, which is 12 a.m. Pacific and 3 a.m. Eastern. That is Netflix’s usual drop time for new titles in the U.S., but Netflix doesn’t guarantee it for every title. If a documentary isn’t on your home screen on the morning of its release date, search for it by name.
Which November titles look like documentaries but aren’t?
Several November releases are about real people or real cases, but Netflix doesn’t list them as documentaries, so they’re left out above.
- Murder in Galicia (Friday, Nov. 13): a scripted series that Netflix calls a drama inspired by true events. It’s the companion to the Unprotected documentary.
- Under Siege (Friday, Nov. 6): Netflix tags it as drama.
- The First 48, Season 16 (Thursday, Nov. 12): Netflix lists the long-running police show as reality TV.
- Mike Tyson: Return of the Mike (Tuesday, Nov. 3): a comedy special, not a documentary.
Netflix has also announced some documentaries that don’t have a release date yet, so they aren’t included here.
Will these documentaries be on Netflix outside the U.S.?
Not necessarily, because availability differs by country, and this guide uses Netflix’s U.S. dates. Licensed titles such as Funny Money and RBG depend on regional rights, so check Netflix’s search where you are.
Is this guide complete?
No guide can be complete for the whole month, because Netflix sometimes adds documentaries after it publishes its monthly list. Dates here are Netflix’s U.S. dates as published; check Netflix’s app for titles added later in the month.
