Exactly one episode of MobLand season 2 has aired. “I Wanna Be Your Dog” went up on Paramount+ on Friday 18 September 2026, and episode 2, “Song 2”, is not out until Friday 25 September. What follows is a recap of that episode, the full cast including the two roles the premiere named, and all ten dated Fridays.

How many episodes of MobLand season 2 have aired?

One, out of ten. Season 2 episode 1, “I Wanna Be Your Dog”, released on Paramount+ on Friday 18 September 2026 and runs 49 minutes. Episode 2, “Song 2”, is scheduled for Friday 25 September 2026 and has not aired.

There is already a wave of “MobLand season 2 recaps” coverage in circulation, all of it describing the same 49 minutes. Nine episodes are still ahead, the last on 20 November.

On release time: The Futon Critic’s listing gives the Friday slot as 3:01 a.m. Eastern. It is the only source for that precision; trade coverage rounds it to 3 a.m. ET, midnight Pacific.

What happens in MobLand season 2 episode 1?

Conrad Harrigan shoots a Turkish gangster dead at a greyhound track in daylight, and Harry Da Souza spends the rest of the episode cleaning it up while his own marriage collapses. By the closing minutes a new enemy is being assembled behind the Harrigans’ backs, by someone already inside their orbit.

Conrad and Maeve go to the dogs — the title is doing double duty — alongside the enforcer Paul O’Donnell and Paul’s nephew Fergus, expecting to close a heroin deal with the Turkish mob. What they learn at the track is that Kevin Harrigan has cut his own deal behind Conrad’s back. Conrad takes Paul’s gun and guns down Luca Ruzgar and much of his party in front of the crowd.

Harry is pulled out of a couples therapy session with Jan to deal with it: surveillance footage wiped, a waiter leaned on to amend his statement to police. DCI Kavanagh arrives at the scene. Jan, for her part, serves Harry divorce papers, and the therapy scene surfaces the detail that she once stabbed him.

Harry then works both Harrigans. He tells Conrad to stop feuding with Kevin, and tells Kevin that he has been played, his suspicion landing on Kat McAllister. That suspicion is confirmed the hard way — Harry ambushes the Turkish boss, Gakbu Ruzgar, who names Kat before Harry kills him.

Around that, three threads open. Eddie Harrigan has fled the family home with Gina Da Souza and is running a protection racket on high-earning YouTubers; Zosia watches Maeve meet him in secret, then she and a new enforcer called Dog find Gina. Kat McAllister is appointed US Ambassador to the UK and takes two meetings that shape the season: Seraphina offers to help remove her own father, and Colin Tattersall proposes finding Kat a “paladin”. The last beat is Tattersall approaching a drug baron named Frankie Cooper.

Two name checks, because the recaps disagree. The Turkish boss is Gakbu Ruzgar, which one widely read recap transposes to “Gabku”; the man Conrad shoots at the track is Luca Ruzgar. Two recaps call them brothers, but the episode establishes only the shared surname.

Is Conrad Eddie’s father, and was that in the premiere?

Conrad is Eddie’s biological father, but that reveal is not in the season 2 premiere. Maeve told Eddie from prison in the season 1 finale, “The Beast in Me”, which streamed on 1 June 2025 — and Eddie’s response was to try to strangle Bella.

The distinction matters because several search summaries currently pin that moment on season 2 episode 1. It is fifteen months old — essential background for everything Eddie does now, and not news.

Who is in the MobLand season 2 cast?

Paramount+ named fifteen main cast members in its season 2 press release of 9 July 2026. Thirteen return from season 1; Johnny Flynn and Ophelia Lovibond are the additions.

Two of those are promotions, not arrivals: Teddie Allen and Emmett J. Scanlan were recurring in season 1 and are main cast now. And Janet McTeer’s Kat McAllister is a cartel operator who, from this premiere, is also US Ambassador to the UK — a combination the marketing skips and the plot needs.

Three further new names appear in the premiere and on none of the pre-season cast lists.

Wikipedia calls Finch corrupt; People says only that he works under Kavanagh. Until the show settles it, this page says detective.

Who do Johnny Flynn and Ophelia Lovibond play?

Johnny Flynn plays Frankie Cooper, a London drug lord, and Ophelia Lovibond plays DCI Kavanagh, a police detective investigating the Harrigans. Both names surfaced in press coverage on 18 September 2026, the day the premiere streamed and more than nine months after the two actors were announced as joining.

Paramount+’s own season 2 cast page still listed both actors with no character attached when we checked it on 22 September 2026 — four days after the episode in which both characters appear and speak. The names come from the episode and from press coverage of it, not from the streamer.

Two flags. People spells the detective “Kavanaugh”; Wikipedia and the episode’s subtitle transcript render it “Kavanagh”, which is what we use, and no first name has been published. And Frankie arrives as Kat McAllister’s instrument rather than a rival in his own right — Tattersall approaches him on her behalf.

When do the rest of the MobLand season 2 episodes come out?

Weekly on Fridays on Paramount+, through a finale on Friday 20 November 2026. There are ten episodes; episode 2, “Song 2”, is next, on Friday 25 September.

The titles are all song titles, as in season 1: The Stooges, Blur, the Ramones, Patti Smith, George Michael. The four blanks are genuinely unpublished rather than merely unreported, and Wikipedia is behind here, listing only the first two.

Loglines exist for episodes 1 to 4 and no further. Paraphrasing the listing text: in episode 2 Conrad’s self-control slips while Frankie and Tattersall circle; in episode 3 Maeve probes Conrad for secrets; in episode 4 the Harrigans reel from an unexpected turn and Eddie is moved out of London.

Two production notes, both commonly overstated. Guy Ritchie directed the premiere; no director is credited for any other season 2 episode. The writing credit on file is a blanket one to Jez Butterworth and Esther Watson across all ten — and Ronan Bennett, who co-wrote season 1, remains the series creator and an executive producer.

Can you watch MobLand season 2 on TV in the US?

Yes. Each episode is rebroadcast on the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME linear channel on the Monday after its Friday stream. Episode 1 aired there on Monday 21 September 2026 at 9:10 p.m. Eastern, and episode 2 follows on Monday 28 September at 9:00 p.m.

These are repeats, not simulcasts. The episode has been on Paramount+ for three days by the time it reaches the channel, so the linear slot is a convenience, not an exclusive.

Three cautions. Look for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME in your guide rather than Showtime — the callsign is PARSHO, and the number varies by provider (DirecTV 545, Charter Spectrum Southern Manhattan 551). Paramount no longer publishes a public linear schedule, so your provider’s guide is the place to check. And listings run only through episode 8 on Monday 9 November 2026 — episodes 9 and 10 have no slot, so do not assume the whole season lands there.

Which Paramount+ plan do you need in the US?

Season 2 is reported to stream on both US tiers, Essential and Premium, so the Showtime-branded Premium plan is not required. That is the one claim here we could not confirm from Paramount+ directly, and the one most likely to cost you money if it is wrong.

Those prices took effect on 15 January 2026. The buried detail is the annual Essential plan, up from $59.99 — a 50% rise, against a $1 increase on the monthly.

Is Tom Hardy leaving MobLand?

No. Hardy was reported in May 2026 to be leaving after season 2, but Deadline reported on 30 June 2026 that he would return, and Paramount+ announced a third season on 3 September 2026 with Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren all returning.

That renewal landed fifteen days before season 2 premiered, which season 1’s numbers explain: the biggest global series launch in Paramount+’s history on 30 March 2025 at 2.2 million viewers, more than 26 million views after that, and six consecutive weeks in Nielsen’s top 10 streaming originals.

Season 3 is ordered and nothing more — no production start and no premiere date announced.
