Key takeaways
  • Season 2 starts on Paramount+ UK & Ireland on Friday 18 September 2026 — ten episodes, one a week, finishing on 20 November.
  • It is weekly, not a full-season drop.
  • Thirteen cast members return, including Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, Paddy Considine and Joanne Froggatt.
  • Two new names join: Johnny Flynn and Ophelia Lovibond. Paramount+ has not said who either of them plays.
  • 🔴 If you subscribe to Sky Cinema, Paramount+ Basic with Ads is already included at no extra cost. A lot of UK viewers are paying twice without realising.
  • Paramount+ UK raised prices across every tier this year: Basic with Ads is now £5.99 a month, Standard £9.99, Premium £12.99.
  • Any of the three tiers gets you the show. You do not need Premium unless you want 4K.

MobLand returns on Friday 18 September 2026, and if you subscribe to Sky Cinema you may already be able to watch it.

Season two runs to ten episodes, weekly, finishing on 20 November. Here is the full cast, and what it actually costs to watch in the UK.

When it starts, and how it is released

ScheduleOne a week, every Friday
Finale20 November 2026

It is weekly, not a box set. If you were planning to wait and binge it, that is a nine-week wait rather than a weekend.

The full run, Friday by Friday:

225 Sep730 Oct
32 Oct86 Nov

⚠️ Those middle dates are arithmetic, not a published schedule. Paramount+ has given the start, the episode count, the weekly Friday pattern and the finale date. Ten Fridays from 18 September lands exactly on 20 November, so the table checks out — but Paramount+ has not published a dated episode list, and streamers do move things.

The returning cast

Thirteen return from series one.

The two at the bottom are worth a note. Janet McTeer and Toby Jones were recurring rather than regular in series one — McTeer appeared in four episodes as the cartel operator Kat McAllister, Jones in three as the retired detective Colin Tattersall. Both are listed as returning.

(You will see Tattershall with an H in some write-ups. Paramount+ and IMDb both use Tattersall.)

The two new faces

Johnny Flynn and Ophelia Lovibond join the cast for season two.

🔴 Paramount+ has not said who either of them plays. Both are listed by name with no character attached, which is a deliberate choice this close to a premiere rather than an oversight. If you find a page telling you their roles, it is working from a leak or from a guess.

That is the honest state of it six days out.

Where to watch it in the UK

Paramount+ UK & Ireland, and any of the three tiers will do it.

TierMonthlyAnnualWhat you get
Basic with Ads£5.99£52.99The full catalogue, with advertising
Standard£9.99£88.99No ads on demand; live content can still carry them
Premium£12.99£115.99Adds 4K UHD and HDR where available

You do not need Premium for this. MobLand is on every tier. Premium buys picture quality, not access.

⚠️ Prices went up across all three tiers this year. Basic with Ads was £4.99, Standard was £7.99, Premium was £10.99 — rises of roughly 20%, 25% and 18%. If you are comparing against a figure you remember, that is why it does not match.

🔴 We could not read Paramount+’s UK checkout ourselves. Its UK page redirected our session to an international holding page, so these figures come from UK trade coverage of the increase rather than from the signup screen. Check the price on the page before you subscribe.

If you have Sky Cinema, check before you pay

This is the part most write-ups leave out, and it is the one that might save you money.

Sky Cinema subscribers already get Paramount+ Basic with Ads at no additional cost. If that is you, MobLand season two is included in what you are already paying, and a separate Paramount+ subscription would be paying twice.

If you want to lose the ads, Sky’s upgrade path is cheaper than subscribing separately:

Upgrade from Sky CinemaExtra per month
To Standard+£4
To Premium+£7

(Those upgrade prices also rose — they were £3 and £6.)

The logic is simply that Sky deducts the value of the Basic tier you already have. Worth two minutes in your Sky account before you sign up for anything.

⚠️ Three mobile customers who get Paramount+ through their account were told their prices rose from 27 August, so that route has moved too.

What we don’t know yet

  • Who Johnny Flynn and Ophelia Lovibond play. Unannounced, not merely unreported.
  • A dated episode list. The weekly Friday pattern is confirmed; individual episode dates are not published.
  • Anything about the plot. This page is a cast and access guide, and season two has not aired.

The bottom line

Friday 18 September, Paramount+, ten weeks, any tier. Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren are all back, along with ten more from series one, and two new names whose parts are still being kept quiet.

Before you subscribe: if there is a Sky Cinema subscription in the house, you may already have it.

Cast and premiere details are from Paramount+’s own UK & Ireland page for the season. UK prices are from trade coverage of this year’s increase, because Paramount+’s UK site would not load for us. Episode dates between the premiere and the finale are our own arithmetic from the published weekly pattern.

How we verified this
The cast list and the premiere date come from Paramount+’s own UK & Ireland page for the season, not from aggregated coverage — including the character names and which actors are returning. ⚠️ One cast detail was checked rather than taken on trust. Toby Jones and Janet McTeer are listed as returning, which would be wrong if they were new this season. Both appeared in series one — Jones as Colin Tattersall in three episodes, McTeer as Kat McAllister in four — so the label holds. Note also that Paramount+ spells the character Tattersall, while some coverage spells it Tattershall; we follow the official page and IMDb. ⚠️ The weekly episode dates are our arithmetic, not a published schedule. Paramount+ states a 18 September start, ten episodes, weekly on Fridays, and a 20 November finale. Ten consecutive Fridays from 18 September lands exactly on 20 November, so the intermediate dates below are a sound derivation — but they are a derivation, and Paramount+ has not published a dated episode list. 🔴 We could not read Paramount+’s UK site directly. Its /gb/ page redirected our session to an international “coming soon” placeholder, because the browser geolocates outside the UK. The prices below therefore come from UK trade coverage of the increase rather than from Paramount+’s own checkout, and we did not work around the geolocation. Confirm the price on the signup page before subscribing. ✅ The price rise is reported with both the old and new figures so you can see the size of it, and the Sky Cinema arrangement is included because it is the one thing that changes what a UK reader should actually do. ⚠️ Character names for the two new cast members are genuinely unpublished, not merely unknown to us. Paramount+ lists both actors without roles. Anything telling you who they play is either a leak or a guess.
