The Bold and the Beautiful This Week: Recap and Review, 20–24 July 2026
- The week ran on one accident. On Tuesday Will threw a punch at R.J. and hit Eric instead, and the remaining three episodes were consequences of it — R.J.’s retaliation, Electra ending the relationship, and the Forresters closing ranks.
- Katie lost her family in stages. Brooke disowned her on Thursday, Donna joined on Friday, and Brooke ejected her from the mansion — the culmination of Eric naming her on a livestream on Monday.
- Electra ended things with Will for good on Wednesday. By Friday he had slept with Dylan, who spent Thursday positioning herself as the person supporting him.
- Three threads carried all five episodes. The Sheila, Finn and Deacon story appeared on Monday and did not come back; Zende’s unexplained plans and Electra’s jewellery deal were raised on Tuesday and left there.
One accidental punch carried the entire week. On Tuesday Will Spencer swung at R.J. Forrester and connected with Eric instead, and The Bold and the Beautiful spent the following three episodes on what that did to two families.

What happened each day, 20–24 July?
Monday 20 July — Eric loses it on camera
Forrester Creations launched its couture collection by livestream, without press or an audience. Ridge was confident in the line; at Logan, Bill watched and rated his own chances.
The collection was not the story. In the interview portion, Eric was asked about Logan and did not stop — ranting about Katie taking their niece, going after the Logan family generally, and dragging Will into it. Ridge pulled him away and he kept going. At Logan, Bill enjoyed it and recognised the publicity value.
Elsewhere: Finn told Sheila he could not see her any more, saying his wife did not want him to, and instructed her not to contact him again. Sheila tried guilt — she had given up her marriage — and it did not work. At Bikini, Deacon and Taylor toasted Sheila signing the divorce papers, with Deacon convinced she had genuinely changed.
Tuesday 21 July — the punch
The Forrester offices were still dealing with the on-camera outburst. Bill kept capitalising on it.
There was good news first: Steffy took a call from a boutique owner who wanted to carry Electra’s whole jewellery collection. The group went to Bikini to celebrate — Zende declined, citing other plans he did not explain.
At Bikini, Will and Dylan ran into Eric, R.J. and Electra. Will tried to get Electra alone, R.J. blocked him, and Eric stepped between them. Will’s punch was aimed at R.J. and landed on Eric, who went to the floor.
Wednesday 22 July — Electra ends it
R.J. refused the apology, insisting the punch was deliberate. Once Eric had gone, R.J. hit Will back, harder, in front of the bar.
Ridge and Brooke learned about it by text from R.J., and Ridge’s response to the whole feud was that if the Spencers wanted a fight they had one. At Logan, Bill enjoyed Eric’s embarrassment while Katie did not — she regards Eric as a father figure and was badly affected by being named on air.
Then Electra found Will at Bikini. Disgusted that he had hurt “the sweetest person in the world”, she ended the relationship. He asked for another chance and got “Never. It’s over.”
Thursday 23 July — Brooke disowns Katie
The family gathered at the mansion. Ridge condemned Will; Eric refused to go to hospital; R.J. admitted he had hit Will back, which Brooke approved of while demanding the fighting stop. Electra was the only person who called the punch an accident, and was dismissed. Eric pressed her to keep her distance from Will.
At the beach house Katie confronted Will, who explained the accident and got “violence is never the answer” for it. She warned the war would get worse and left; he said he had lost Electra for good.
Back at the mansion Katie apologised to Eric, and when she asked for family unity Brooke told her she had sold her soul to the Spencers and was no longer part of the family. At Bikini, Dylan talked about Will to a hostess, who encouraged her to be there for him. She arrived at the beach house to find him drinking and looking at a photograph of Electra.
Friday 24 July — Katie loses the rest of them
Brooke restated it: Katie chose to be a Spencer. Donna sided with Brooke, accusing Katie of putting her company above her sisters, and drew a comparison to their father walking out. Eric started to back Katie’s version and then left without saying anything when Donna took his hand. Ridge added that the Forresters and Spencers don’t mix. Katie insisted she was being independent rather than disloyal, told them she would always love them, and got “Goodbye” from Brooke. She was put out of the mansion and broke down outside.
At the beach house, Will was blaming himself for what his punch had done to his mother’s relationship with her sisters. He threw a beer bottle at the wall. Dylan told him moving on meant leaving Electra behind, and they slept together.

⚠️ One casting note worth having straight: R.J. is now played by Brayan Nicoletti, who took over on 15 January 2026. Joshua Hoffman, who had the role from 2023, still appears on some official listings.
Did Brooke actually disown Katie?
Yes, and then Donna made it unanimous. This was not a heat-of-the-moment line walked back by Friday — it ran across three episodes and escalated each time.
Wednesday established Katie’s distress. Thursday was the disowning itself, framed around her having “sold her soul to the Spencers”. Friday brought Donna in, added the comparison to their father’s abandonment, and ended with Katie physically removed from the house. Eric’s silence on Friday is the detail worth keeping: he was about to defend her and stopped.
Are Will and Electra finished?
She used the word “never”, and the show moved him on within 48 hours.
Electra ended it on Wednesday, defended him as having hit Eric accidentally on Thursday — while refusing to take him back — and by Friday night Will was with Dylan. Whether the show treats that as a rebound or a replacement is the open question; the speed of it suggests the latter.
Was this a good week of The Bold and the Beautiful?
Structurally it was efficient, and its efficiency came from one convenient misreading.
The construction is tight. Monday supplies a public provocation, Tuesday supplies a physical act, and the remaining three episodes are consequences that reach into two families and end a relationship. That is a lot of story from a single incident, and soaps do not always manage it.
The convenience is that the punch was an accident, and almost nobody treats it as one. Electra says so on Thursday and is dismissed; R.J. insists it was deliberate; the family council proceeds on the assumption of intent. The fallout only works at that scale because the characters adopt the reading the plot needs.
The Katie material is where the pacing shows. Her disowning occupies Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and it is substantially the same confrontation three times with a new participant added each day. It lands — Friday’s ejection is the strongest scene of the week — but the same result was available in two episodes.
The clearest weakness is what the grid above shows: the Sheila, Finn and Deacon story appeared on Monday and then vanished for four days. Finn cutting contact and Deacon deciding Sheila has reformed are both consequential, and neither was touched again. Zende’s unexplained plans and Electra’s jewellery deal went the same way — introduced on Tuesday, not returned to.
